Modern / Amagansett Contemporary
A young couple purchased this spec house by the dunes of Amagansett as a summer residence after renting it for years.
Marco envisioned a modern open space and completely reconfigured the whole house using large-scale glass panels so to bring the ocean view inside the house.
Structural changes were necessary in order to achieve the goal of butt glass corners in the second floor sitting room creating a fish tank look.
The stairwell tower was completely cladded in copper.
Before and after floor plan shows the radical improvements made.

Decoration by the client. A set of schematic drawings were prepared for the client with the sole intent of capturing the aesthetic of the project. Architecture by Southampton Engineers.
